CUSTOMER CHECKLIST

SCHEDULING

Once you have contracted with Superior Asphalt Paving Ltd. for an installation, our office will schedule a work order for the first opportunity that works for both you and us. We will contact you prior to the grade crew’s arrival so that you can ensure that access to the site is clear of obstructions, vehicles, etc. The project manager will arrive just before the grading crew, bringing along any plans or drawings that are available and ensuring that everything proceeds smoothly.

SITE PREPARATION

If you are at home you will be introduced to the grade foreman and we will tour the site. You are encouraged to ask questions at any time. Have a garden hose hooked up for the crew to use when dampening the gravel, or inform us where a hose can be found or connected to a water source. Occasionally we find that utility access covers are located in the area to be paved. These covers include water shut-off, sewer clean-out, underground hydro or cable and they may require a height adjustment. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to call the appropriate agency prior to the arrival of the paving crew, if necessary. However, most covers can be adjusted by us.

PAVING DAY

Once the site has been properly prepared by the grading crew, the paving crew will arrive, usually within the next day or so. The project manager will make every effort to meet the paving crew and brief them on any special circumstances so that your project is completed exactly to your wishes.

AFTER PAVING IS COMPLETE

Place a barrier such as garbage cans, a ribbon or a vehicle across the entrance to prevent vehicles from driving onto the fresh asphalt and causing damage.

Pets and people can walk across new asphalt without danger of damage, but keep vehicles off the new surface for 1 to 2 days after installation.

Payment is due upon the completion of the project unless prior arrangements have been made.
